Waste Disposal & Specialty Removal

General Rubbish Removal & Disposal

General rubbish removal clears bagged and loose household or garden waste, single bulky items or a full van load, and sorts it for recycling and responsible disposal. It is the quick option when you just need waste gone, properly.

Quick answer

Who it is for: Householders, landlords, tenants and small businesses needing general waste removed.

What it covers: Bagged waste, loose junk, single items or a mixed load, collected and sorted for recycling and disposal.

When a survey is needed: No survey needed. A photo of the items and where they are is usually enough for a price.

This is the general-purpose option: whatever has built up, iTrade collects it, loads it and takes it away, then sorts it rather than sending a mixed load straight to disposal.

It works as a one-off, and it is a lawful alternative to a skip, because a registered carrier takes on the duty of care for the waste.

Scope

What is included, what needs checking, and what is not

Included as standard
  • Collection of bagged and loose general waste
  • Single bulky items or a full van load
  • Loading from where the items are, not just the kerb
  • Sorting for recycling
  • Responsible disposal of the rest
Conditional or quoted separately
  • Heavy materials such as soil or rubble, priced by weight
  • Appliances (WEEE) and upholstered seating, which have separate rules
  • Items that need more than one person to move
  • Difficult access or a long carry to the van
Not included
  • Suspected asbestos and other hazardous materials need a separate, competent assessment. Some asbestos work requires an HSE-licensed contractor
  • Chemicals, fuels, gas bottles and clinical waste
  • Anything not agreed for removal

How the work runs

From first enquiry to handover

  1. Enquiry

Send a photo of the items and say roughly how much there is.

  2. Price confirmed

iTrade confirms a price from the photo or a quick look.

  3. Collection booked

A collection is arranged to suit you.

  4. Load and sort

The team loads the waste and separates recyclable materials.

  5. Record on request

The completed area is checked against the agreed scope. Before booking, confirm which waste transfer record applies to the job, who will issue it and who must retain it.

Reassurance and compliance

When you pay someone to remove household waste, you have a household duty of care under section 34(2A) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Check that whoever takes the waste is a registered waste carrier, because dumped waste traced back to you can leave you liable.

iTrade Recycling Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency as an Upper Tier carrier, broker and dealer under CBDU521652. The public record was checked on 10 August 2026 and expires on 9 February 2027; customers should follow the official register link and check it again before hiring.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Is this cheaper than a skip?

Often, and there is no permit to arrange or waiting for collection. A registered carrier also takes on the duty of care for the waste.

Do you take single items?

Yes. It can be one item or a full load.

Can you take a fridge or a sofa?

Yes, though appliances and upholstered seating are handled under their own rules rather than a general load.

Do you recycle?

Yes. Loads are sorted so recyclable materials are separated rather than everything going to disposal.
