Outbuilding & Area Clearance

Garden & Outdoor Clearance

Garden and outdoor clearance removes green waste, old furniture, decking, fencing, soil and general outdoor clutter, and separates it for recycling and responsible disposal. It suits overgrown gardens, house sales and post-project tidy-ups.

Quick answer

Who it is for: Homeowners, landlords, agents and executors clearing a garden, yard or outdoor space.

What it covers: Removal of green waste, garden furniture, structures, soil and rubble, sorted for recycling and disposal.

When a survey is needed: Photographs of the garden and the access route are usually enough; a survey helps for large or heavily overgrown spaces.

Gardens produce a real mix of waste: cuttings and green waste, broken furniture, old decking and fencing, pots, soil and rubble. Each has a different route, so sorting the load matters.

Access is the other key factor. iTrade needs to know how a vehicle reaches the garden and how far material must be carried.

Scope

What is included, what needs checking, and what is not

Included as standard
  • Removal of green waste, cuttings and general garden clutter
  • Old garden furniture, pots and broken structures
  • Separating green waste, timber, metal and soil or rubble
  • Sorting for recycling and responsible disposal
  • A tidy finish across the cleared area
Conditional or quoted separately
  • Large quantities of soil, rubble or hardcore, priced by weight
  • Removing decking, fencing or raised beds
  • Heavily overgrown gardens needing cutting back first
  • Difficult access or a long carry to the road
Not included
  • Asbestos, sometimes found in old outbuildings or dumped materials, which needs a separate, competent assessment. Some asbestos work requires an HSE-licensed contractor
  • Chemicals, weedkiller, fuels and gas bottles
  • Anything not agreed for removal

How the work runs

From first enquiry to handover

  1. Enquiry

Describe the garden, what needs removing, and how a vehicle reaches it.

  2. Photographs or survey

iTrade confirms the volume, the mix of materials and the access.

  3. Written quotation

You receive a quote reflecting the materials and access.

  4. Clearance and sorting

The team clears and separates green waste, timber, metal and any soil or rubble.

  5. Tidy finish and records

The completed area is checked against the agreed scope. Before booking, confirm which waste transfer record applies to the job, who will issue it and who must retain it.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Do you take soil and rubble?

Yes, though these are heavy and priced by weight, so it helps to tell iTrade roughly how much there is.

Can you remove old decking or fencing?

Yes. Timber structures can be taken down and removed, with clean timber separated for recycling.

What happens to the green waste?

Green waste is sent for composting or recycling rather than general disposal where possible.

Is this the same as a garden tidy-up?

A clearance removes waste and clutter as a one-off. Ongoing mowing, pruning and upkeep fall under garden tidy-ups and maintenance.
